or, if you have questions, you can also schedule appointments by contacting Sam.
What To Expect
For your initial session with Sam, please arrive five to ten minutes early. At the beginning of the session, he will sit down with you and go over your history, goals, and concerns. Next, he’ll perform a visual assessment.
Rolfers work with their clients in their gym or yoga wear (or a suitable substitute) so they can not only more easily see how tension affects your alignment and observe how your body does or doesn’t move, but also to facilitate the actual hands-on Rolfing and stretching work itself.
After viewing your body in standing and in motion, Sam may draw on other modes of assessment to acquaint himself with your body pattern, and strategize your session. Then, the Rolfing work will begin.
Duration Sessions generally last 60-70 minutes.
The fee per session is $180 in New York City or $125 in Baltimore which is due at the time of service unless there is prior arrangement. Payment may be made by either check, cash or credit card. Discounts are awarded for prepayment of 3, 5, or 10 sessions.
Cancellation Policy and Rescheduling
Your time is valuable, so please be on time for your session. Your appointment is your personal block of time, and if you are late, it is time
lost from your session.
In the event that you need to cancel a session, 24 hours’ notice is required in order to allow time to attempt to fill the empty session. If you do not give 24 hours’ notice, you are liable for the full session fee. Likewise, if Sam cancels without adequate notice, he will owe you a free session. Exceptions to this policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If you want to streamline your initial session, you can take a few minutes to fill out this intake form in advance. Please elaborate on any item answered YES, and reference by number in the comments section.
I will provide a receipt for you to submit to your insurance, if they cover your session Don’t forget that you are ultimately financially responsible for the balance due for treatment fees after your insurance has paid its share, if you have qualified.
It is also important to remember and understand that payments for missed appointments is the clients responsibility.
