Book a Rolfing Session Online Here: https://my.timedriver.com/3N1B1
In Kalamazoo or Richland, Michigan, from Saturday, July 30th to Tuesday, August 23rd.
In Soho, NYC BEGINNING Thursday, August 25th, Friday, August 26th and Saturday, August 27th
In Locust Point, Baltimore BEGINNING August, 28th : Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
Structural Reason:
In the previous three pictorial sequences, we have worked the Rolfing process– with active movement performed by the client–upon the front and left side of the body. Now we must continue to connect and balance the previous accomplishments with the entire left back side, commencing at the lower back and extending upward across the midback, shoulders, arm, neck and scalp;then extending down the back through the hip, leg, calf, foot and toes.
When Rolfing on a table, all four sides of the body must be Rolfed–with active movement by the client–if the entire myofascial web that extends thoughout the entire body is to be addressed and balanced.
Benefits:
The immediate benefits will include an improvement in posture by opening the lower back/rib cage, which complements the relationship between the hamstrings and hip flexors so the hip and shoulder girdles will have to hold the body upright with greater balance.
Client Participation:
The client first lies prone on his stomach with his arms above his head, resting upon a chair so he will be able to actively extend and rotate his arms and legs while the Rolfing is being applied. While the client breaths deeply, he will reach, rotate, kick out and extend in a variety of ways to increase the Rolfing goals of increased mobility and postural improvement.
